Three ways to begin
Trace your breath
Water and ink
Shape the clay
Place a pencil on paper. Inhale as you draw a line upward, exhale as you let it curve down. Repeat without lifting the lead.
Wet a small patch of paper with water. Touch a wet brush or pen tip to the center and watch the dark color bleed outward.
Hold a piece of soft clay or dough. Squeeze it slowly, feeling the resistance of the material, letting your fingers leave deep marks.


Pair making with silence
After laying down color, take a moment to look at the page. Write down three single words that describe the shapes you see. There is no need for complete sentences.
Letting your hand move before your mind can direct it helps bypass the need for explanation. Your grief does not need to look beautiful to be valid.
Return when you are ready
You can explore other emotional pathways or close the screen. This space remains open whenever you need a gentle anchor.
