Settle into this sanctuary. Grab a simple pencil and any scrap paper nearby to begin slowing your thoughts through gentle, repetitive motions.

Gather any paper

Trace your breath

Fill the spaces

Find a scrap piece of paper, a receipt, or an envelope. Any surface will hold your marks without judgment.
Draw a slow line upward as you inhale. Let it drift downward as you exhale. Repeat this continuous wave across the page.
Gently shade the empty loops with light, repetitive strokes. Feel the physical friction of pencil meeting wood fibers.

Internal weather

Release the pressure

The paper is here to carry whatever tension your body holds. There is no need to make something beautiful or finished. Let your hand move before your mind tries to direct it.
Once finished, look at the marks you made. Take a slow breath, acknowledge the feeling, and let it rest quietly on the page.
